I have not been a fan of supplementing glutamine in my diet. I thought it was just hype as we can most of the glutamine from the meat and dairy and we never get depleted of glutamine, so what’s the use of this supplement? With these thoughts and biased opinion I never tried going ahead and understanding about the uses and benefits of the glutamine in the bodybuilder’s diet. Glutamine is conditionally essential amino acid that can work wonders to improve the rate of recovery while boosting immunity.
I took GAT L-glutamine 1000 grams packing because I wished to improve my recovery by taking large amounts of L-glutamine every day. GAT L-glutamine has glutamine peptides that work improves the functionality and effectiveness of the L-glutamine.
I have used a tub of GAT L-glutamine 2.2 lbs pack. I took 2 servings of 15 grams serving everyday for about a month preferably at bedtime and one serving before workout along with BCAA supplement. You will not feel the supplement’s action immediately after consuming as it happens when we consume preworkout supplements. It takes time and you can probably notice the effects by the time taken by the muscle to recover from the previous workout. The cramps decrease and one starts feeling more energetic. I wished to consume the large servings of this essential supplement so I decided to purchase a 1 kilogram pack of GAT L-glutamine and I must say that the product has helped me a lot to recover fast and get ready for the next workout. My lifts have improved and I felt less tress during the period of heavy workouts. Thus, I would like to write a review for people looking to purchase a large packing of glutamine powder.
Effectiveness and recovery – some websites and studies will tell you that you don’t need glutamine at all as a supplementation. But as I said before, it is a conditionally essential amino acid and most abundant amino acid in the blood stream; it becomes essential for the lifters who train heavy. Therefore, if you budget allows go for glutamine and you will notice improvement in time period for recovery and its ability to create a stress free and anabolic environment for muscle growth in the body. GAT L-glutamine helps to combat the stress upon the muscles during workout and after heavy strength training sessions. It has helped me improve my lifts and I was able to do progression in shorter time period than before. For effectiveness, I will rate GAT L-glutamine, 8/10 as I found it pretty good.
Taste and mixability – It smells great and gives you mild vanilla essence when it comes to taste and smell. I had no problem while taking it and it don’t taste like a chemical. There are no after tastes and thus, I liked it for this reason. I take L-glutamine in water and it mixed instantly. There are no clumps and it is well instantized. I will rate it 9/10 for mixability and taste.
Cost Effectiveness – you get 200 servings when you purchase GAT L-glutamine powder. This cheap and cost effective as you buy glutamine in bulk. I must say, buying glutamine in bulk is much better option than going for smaller cans that won’t even last 2 weeks during training.
Digestibility –There’s no question of bloating, stomach upset and any other changes in the digestion because it is pure form of amino acid and it gets readily absorbed from the gut wall. Glutamine helped me improve my digestion, I don’t know how but this helped me improve my digestion during the time I took.
Overall, the glutamine powder from GAT deserves 9/10 in my opinion as it boosted my workout sessions and fueled my muscles for better performance.
